So I am finally getting de-toothed. So gummers at the glory hole from now on. Yes, my teeth are fucked and it is time to get some implants and an upper plate.

So they are going to have to make a full uipper and lower plate, and I was wondering if anyone knew if you could get some customized teeth. For instance I would like a little bit of an animal like extension on the upper and lower eye teeth. If I am goingf to pay 16 grand for some new teeth I think I want a set that is a little bit of fun.

I do not want to be biting my lips all the time, and if they are uncomfortable that would suck. Maybe I should be asking the elderly furries, but I think since I discussed my pooping with you all, and volpone seems to have run off again I would have some fun for a night or two until I have my dentist appointment and discuss it with him.

In fact, I work in the dental field.

If you are serious about wanting a custom set of teeth you will probably be paying a little extra.

And you may want to specifically see a cosmetic dentist or a prosthodontist if you really want something quirky or unique.

Your run-of-the-mill general dentist probably doesn’t work with a dental lab that offers custom teeth, but you could always ask and find out. He may just give you a referral to a specialist. Or maybe he can work some magic with his handpiece and shape the standard denture teeth into something different.

But if that is not in his wheelhouse, maybe ask him if he can refer you to someone more experienced with those type of custom cases. Or ask if he works with any other dental labs that offer different sets of teeth.

Sounds like you’re getting an implant retained denture… it is definitely expensive, but it is a great option and worth the money for sure.

Way better than the regular kinds of dentures. They will stay in much better and be more comfortable. It is definitely worth the money, especially at your age? I don’t know how old you are but I am guessing you are not elderly therefore you will want something that will last a long time.

I have one implant and crown.

    And I'm chicken.

The surgery is painless as they knock you out.

It does take time for the implants to fuse with the bone. Mine took longer because there wasn't enough natural bone to bond with so they used cadaver bone to encourage growth. For a while I'm told that my breath smelled like dead people. That's a nice memory.

I would never go to a dentist. That’s my first piece of advice.
