[Southern American English] I am not saying we didn’t do some really abhorrent things to earn it. Like really REALLY bad. Like using caps and bolding in no way encapsulates how bad it was. I am just saying that the fact that we are moving to a point in US history where the Slavers aren’t the only worst people possible and that that should be recognized. Brooklyn English is now the most traitorist accent and/or dialect [this is actually a thing; for real they’re a compendium of books on accent/dialect/language] am I wrong? Do I need to post the tapes? The Department of Justice has posted the tapes. We can all hear how Republicans wanted to destroy American Democracy. But I can post a direct link for those whose limited chanels of information didn’t give it to them. It is one thing to be a fucking indoctrinated red neck in 1860 but in 20 fucking 23 you gotta actively be an asshole right? We can all agree with that yes? Can we all agree that I can now talk the way I talk and not sound traitorous?
What happens is the closer you get to your home state, the more the accent is prominent. The further away you get, the less you sound like a hick.
Excuse me for a sec, but have you considered the idea of deep and very inclusive mental therapy? It might be an idea.
... for some, maybe. I didn't develop a southern accent until I was 16 and my family moved to texas. A lot of times it comes out in just one word, sometimes, when I've been drinking. sometimes, if I'm angry ... It really depends on what is happening around me when the accent kicks in. Regardless, it always sounds like a hick.
Ah... no wonder you're so keen to prove there's life on other planets. Because you sound like Cletus on every square inch of this world. Reminds me of this film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morons_from_Outer_Space The idiots get made celebs, the halfway intelligent one is condemned to an asylum.
