I used to skim the punk scene in NY. There was always that group of angry incel white guys with iron cross tats and these weird calls to german stateism and they had the dog whistle symbols of hitler while loving Ramstein and KMFDM. I had to actively try to stay away from that crowd because they were in the scene and they were recruiting using anarchy, anger, and punk as cover. I get that punk establishments had to be real hardline about not letting the Nazi trash in. Also back in the day I did do some infiltration of the private nazi and pedophile groups for moderators on a couple of sites close to 4chan /b/ and tried to clean up the anime scene. The Neo Nazis found this easy recruitment area leaching off of anime fandom. That is why I was so familiar with stormfront tactics and the chans. There was a definite organized movement to use things like punk music, heavy metal, anime, computer gaming, Online chat like IRC, USENET, old dial up BBS sites, raves, techno music and things like that for neo nazi purposes. I was also well aware of Russian and Ukrainian nazi infestation in their internet computer sphere. As an old school troll it was a great way to protect your identity making accounts on servers in russia and slavic areas. I have always been right next to that group, and being white and anglo saxon I passed by a lot of talk. Those were always the edgelords. It was how they stood out and got people to side with them.
