I’ve seen this series like … 3 now all the way through. Bored this morning, nothing to watch, so I started this again. I don’t care what anyone says, that opening scene giving himself up in the FBI headquarters in Quantico. It immediately engages the audience and James Spader doesn’t break character once in the entire series. And Ryan Eggold … I’d swear that was Ed Norton. And, if nothing else, what that guy brings to a character would be anything but boring.
I stopped after season 4 or 5. I understand they never answered the core question - the relationship between Red and Keene, and even killed off Keene before they bothered. I guess that's one way to sidestep it.
Killed off Keene? I previously watched all seasons - up through the season that was filmed during Covid. I don’t remember killing off Keen. But, yea, we’ve no idea what Red’s interest is in Keen. Or why he hired what’s his face to stalk/protect? her
Watching the episode where Lizzy’s adoptive dad died. Keen is obviously afraid of Red but neither is acknowledging they know who the other is. IIRC, later Red does confront Keen about “hiring” him. So …, if Red found out Keen had been hired to assassinate Lizzy and hired him to protect her instead … The entire storyline is confusing. But, I do so love James Spader’s character I just can’t not watch it.
