I've been picking up BL seasons the last few months when time and disposable income allows. Great show for all the right reasons... Not the writing, but the potential for fun games. Drink when Shatner says Denny Crane, how many episodes till he shoots someone that season, the James Spader Curse... That's one I've noticed on my own. People who act with him become their characters. Robert Downey: In "Less than Zero", played a coke fiend. Rob Lowe: In "Bad Influence" had an obsession with video voyeurism. Jon Cryer was a dork in "Pretty in Pink". Shatner, well, he's Shatner... But what's really got me is the number of Trek alumni (and a few subtle nods in show). I think I counted up to three in one episode...Odo, Quark, Neelix.
So …. When I let my previous employer know I was moving away from Chicagoland, I was allowed another 3 months to work remotely. Well, those 3 months and came and went. So, now, my days are filled with trying to find something to watch on television. Thought I’d give this a try. The premise of the show, due to …. one character’s decent into madness in the opening scene, Dude (Brad Chase - could they have picked a more cliche name?) is moved from Chicago office to Boston office which sets up James Spader’s character (Alan Shore) and Dude - both young (mid to late late 30s, handsome, wealthy - to begin a school boy …. Series long. …. Dick measuring contest. And just to keep all the other characters interesting and a storyline going, everyone is nuts.
Oh, and now they’re setting it up with Bill Shatner/James Spader vs Candace Bergman/Monica Potter. And they have so far established Monica Potter’s character as a younger Candace Bergman/Bill Shatner level attorney.

Did you watch this show? Did you find it believable? I ask because .. the only thing I know about this part of the law (as well as behind the scenes) is from television and movies. Most movies and tv shows about the military I find completely unbelievable. I could go into detail, but this thread is about Boston Legal.
