Oh, I know. My point was to counter everyone who thinks they’re going to get the wealthy to pay any fucking taxes at all. To ensure the IRS doesn’t go after them, they’ve made the amount as little as possible.

So, people who are so poor and sick, that they feel their only alternative is to be test subjects for a drug that might help their disease and get a measly $50 a month for doing so, THEY get reported to the IRS.

So, I agree. Hire FUCKING THOUSANDS of IRS agents to go after the fuckers.

I love how he thinks some pink haired girl is going to come and get him when the gravy seal next to him is the one most likely to shoot him in the face because he failed to pass one of the purity tests.

I am pretty sure UA Island was always that way. It is just that no Trans people and most women avoided it like the plague.

This is the fun thing about CHUDs. No one actually wants to be near them. We are just forced to and would like them to stop attacking everyone. Stop imposing your laws on everyone else, and things will be fine. Also, not imposing yourself on others also means cleaning up after yourself you diseased plague rat.

They're allowed to play the "weave me awone!! :weep:" card, but if you throw "yeah, could you fuck off? :wtf:" back at them, it's "you're an authoritarian!! :weep:".

They don't really want to be left alone; they want to crash everyone else's party, puke in the punchbowl, and face zero consequences.
Because they're narcissists who think they're the main character of reality.
    Witness Elon Musk and Trump.

The border situation is so bad that nothing should be done to try and fix it because that might hurt Trump’s chances to replace Biden and then fix the border.

“I’m encouraging President Trump to oppose the contours of the Senate deal such that I’ve seen in,” said Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, a close ally of the former president’s.

Trump allies say the former president is right to be opposed to doing something now and argue that the only way to get strong border policy is to get Biden out of the White House.

“I really think that if you want to change what is happening with the border, you are going to have to change administrations,” said Sen. Josh Hawley, a Republican from Missouri who recently endorsed Trump’s White House bid.

GOP Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas, a staunch Trump backer, said of cutting a deal with Biden: “So now it’s 11 months, 10 months before a general election and now you want to work with Republicans to do something about the southern border? I’m hesitant to be quite honest.”

Once again reducing things to "unconditional praise" versus "bigotry." Some day, you will offer something other than childish, reductive horse shit, and I will die of shock.

“The latest comments only underscore Speaker Johnson’s recent remarks, highlighted via Punchbowl News: ‘On a House GOP conference call Sunday night, Johnson said Congress can’t solve the crisis at the border until Donald Trump or another Republican is in the White House.’”

This deal brokered by the White House would be one of the toughest border and immigration laws in modern history and would not legalize any of the estimated 11 million unauthorized immigrants in the US, an element of comprehensive immigration reform long championed by Democrats.

Senators release border-Ukraine deal that would allow the president to pause U.S. asylum law and quickly deport migrants - CBS News

YES, NO, okay, YES, Yes, Yes, NO

“Comprehensive immigration reform” used to mean Republicans would get some enforcement and border provisions and Democrats would get a pathway to citizenship for the undocumented. Now it means Republicans get all that but Democrats instead get money for the war in Ukraine.

the only argument for any Dem voting for this is to save Ukraine, and even so it's a helluva devil's bargain. If the Republicans are stupid enough to kill it you know they well and truly have been co-opted not just by Trump but ultimately by Putin.

Good and fair summary of the border deal from the Fox reporter who covers the border who has been a harsh Biden critic.

I think it was David Frum but someone said years ago something along the lines of “If the people don’t trust the Liberals to secure the border they’ll turn to the Fascists to do it instead.”

Now personally I don’t get it. I. just. don’t. get. it.

But for *some reason* a lot of Americans have visceral reaction to immigrants and especially immigrants they feel aren’t the right kind or didn’t do it the right way.

    I don’t get it.

But then I see a 170 year old cartoon drawn in opposition to the Know Nothing’s which is all the same regurgitated shit and so while I don’t get it I do accept that Nativism (not the dark w/feathers kind, the regular people kind) is a thing and that any system where the majority doesn’t feel immigration is regulated is a system in danger and those who care about the system need to do what they can to regulate it first and then fix it later.

The other alternative is… not good.

Long story short, the crazy Rs who don’t really care played the game out. They shot down the Bush II bipartisan deal and the Obama bipartisan deal and now we got the Biden bipartisan deal.

And now we gotta take it because there is a very legit chance there won’t be another deal. :(

Test to see if anyone actually reads my posts:

    - Keeps humanitarian parole as it was originally intended (medical procedures, court cases, etc), and keeps the current Biden admin parole program in place for Cubans, Haitians, Venezuelans, and Nicaraguans.
Anyone have a guess as to what form of totalitarian government 3/4 of these countries have (the other just being a completely failed state at the moment/multiple other times in history/we really need to figure out X)? And so maybe we should just keep assuming they probably have decent chances at being oppressed?

Anecdotal but I’ve noticed those who have a visceral reaction to immigrants start off by talking about how their ancestors came here “legally” and they have no tolerance for those who immigrate “illegally.” That’s funny because prior to 1882 the US didn’t have a stated immigration policy. Plus the Border Patrol didn’t exist until 1924. Something tells me the rules were a little different back then.
