They guy running CNN has said he wants to get more conservative viewers, and the NYT led a crusade to get the black woman who was president of Harvard fired. Not to mention that CNN has admitted to running all their stories from Gaza through Israeli government officials before publishing any of them, and one of the most prominent NYT reporters covering Trump has a mother who works for Trump!

Do you have a point to make, other than your ability to regurgitate millennial douchebag slang? Are the claims in that article true or false, in your estimate?

My point, that you seem unwilling to grasp, is that neither CNN nor the NYT can objectively be considered "left-leaning." So, by definition, the claims are false.

It does depend on what left you are talking about. If you are talking left as in communist or socialist CNN and NYT are right wing. If you are talking social liberal left then they are at least left leaning.

The problem with saying left and right is that there are two areas that are left and right. One is economic where you have a communist to capitalist meaning, and the other is liberal and conservative. Then you might even get into fascist and anarchist for how they impose rules and regulations.

I find that now left and right are poor words to use because they have multiple meanings. For instance Hillary Clinton and Biden could be pretty socially left, but are certainly not socialists or communistic. They are very right wing capitalism and corporate over the people.

Are the majority of people who work at the NYT liberal, or at least left-leaning, in their personal views? Probably.

However, they are also obsessed with bothsidesing — which is fine when you have two parties that are both acting in good faith, accept a shared set of facts, and simply differ on matters of opinion. But when one of the groups in the bothsidesing equation is flagrantly dishonest and just flat-out bugfuck insane, bothsidesing will always favor that group's interests.

Similarly, they are petrified of being called liberal, which leads them to unquestioningly accept Republican framing and narratives and just generally let conservatives define the terms of the argument for them.
