if you read the article, it was illegal to consume human flesh and blood (I guess jesus crackers and cheap wine don't count even if they transubstantiate) unless someone tricked you and served it to you without your knowledge, and then cannibalism was legal. So they had to make it illegal to serve it to others without their knowledge because I guess there was a big bunch of people getting away with that because they would pretend their friends fooled them into eating human flesh and blood. I really do not see why it would be illegal in the first place. As long as you found someone willing to give up the meat who was not being paid or otherwise coerced into it. Seriously, if my diabetes leads to necessary amputations it is human taco night. I could get not having a profit motive for it, but if it is going to go to waste anyway, fry that fucker up.
