That's my belief as well. On Quora there are all sorts of bot-generated questions (or maybe they're real ) along the lines of "I just found out my significant other of ___ years is cheating. Is my marriage/relationship worth saving?" I have to chuckle at the puritanical outrage expressed by a great many posters. Given even the most conservative estimates of how many couples have one or more get a case of happy feet somewhere along the line, I can only surmise that some of those respondants are living in denial and/or wilfully blind to what's happening behind their backs or they are protesting way too much I'm not quite as amused by the depictions of someone as a "homewrecker" or whatever. I think that people stepping out on a perfectly happy relationship doesn't happen. That's not to say I approve. I don't feel empowered to pass judgement in any direction. As to why anyone finds another person attractive is one of those cosmic mysteries that I don't waste much time trying to solve. I have found myself thinking that a person "could do much better" and then reminding myself that someone who routinely hangs out with beautiful partners gets dismissed as "shallow".

Not quite. UA is clearly a toxic person, unless everything he says around here is a complete act. Anyone in a relationship with a person who is an island upon themselves is in a relationship where they can do better. A person like that generally runs you over and only thinks of themselves, and even if they do something for you they are always doing the smallest possible to keep you from going. When that sort of person meets another who is enamored with them and puts up with a lot, they will take as much advantage of them as they can because it is everything for the island. So it isn't that she could find a better person because I am not even putting that in the equation. It is that anchors and toxicity are things you are better without.

In the case of @Jenee I was assuming she was just codependent and latched onto a toxic anchor until her recent statement about getting all hot about his stank. That is more of an addictive sensual desire. I am not actually totally attempting to be mean here. It seems @Jenee has a taste for things others find repulsive. That is normally something I can brush off, except when it is something very loud and noxious like UA.

I believe UA is in his natural state. Though I may not care for him, as most people do not, he is not really dangerous on my mind, and aside from spreading his toxicity here I am pretty sure he is quiet elsewhere. None of us here with complaints about him are near him, except for @Jenee is complaining about him, while telling us not to, and sucking his dick. I’ve always wondered how someone could be surprised to find their significant others cheat. Nor do I believe their outrage is justified. If the only reason you married is just to be married without first knowing the kind of person you are marrying, then it’s your own fault the person to whom you’ve attached yourself isn’t as engaged in the marriage as you are. I’m especially harder on women who are cheated on than men. Women are ar considerable risk entering a marriage without knowing that person.

shootER is talking about this specific woman being in his opinion ugly. That doesn't say anything about whether he (or by extension, other men) might think about whether he wants to fuck her or whether he thinks of women in general as fuckholes.

IIRC, shootER has been long married to an actual African-American woman. I don't think there's any reason from any of his postings to think that he thinks of women in general as disposable fuckholes or disrespects women in general.

He may have an issue with this particular woman, who falsely held herself out as black. I dunno. He can speak for himself on that score.

But it seems like you're reading a lot into his comment that just isn't there. Which of course isn't to say that there aren't a lot of sexist men who do reduce women to sex objects. There are. But there's no reason from this post to jump to the conclusion that shootER is one of them just because he thinks this woman is ugly.

Now if he had said something like "That woman has a face that would make a freight train take a dirt road...and she's a lying skeezebag....but I'd still hit it" you might have a point.

Anyway, I think shootER is entitled to his opinion about how this woman looks. I don't particularly share that opinion, and the fact that she has an OnlyFans account means (presumably) at least some of her fans think she's attractive facially.

If she defrauded someone or some institution by using ethnicity as a way to gain something, it’s not discussed in the article - only that she had previously been convicted of some crime in which she claimed to be black. Having lived in the US for 60 years and 17 days, I cannot fathom how claiming to be black would be of benefit to anyone.

However, that isn’t what the article (or the headline) is about. She was fired because she had an only fans account. And she’s not the only one.

Because that’s what she’s “famous” for, doesn’t mean that’s why she was fired.

Two different propositions there:

First, her fraud was essentially wearing blackface to cash in on victimhood points in academia. This was years ago, and she fell off the radar in disgrace.

Second, she was later fired in a separate incident under what was likely some morality clause in her employment contract, due to her activities on onlyfans.

And yet it was the second in which I was commenting.
