Whatever city that trailer takes place in is clearly not Detroit, and The Crow takes place in Detroit.

Well, the original didn't exactly look like Detroit, but they hinted it was Detroit and avoided anything that would have made it clearly not Detroit.

    Stop taking our stuff!

WTF was that shit? I think maybe they were trying to make crow 2 look good?

How did they take a guy known for wearing semi gothic white face paint and somehow fuck it up that badly?

So is there even a Sarah in this? Not from what I can see.

I will put that right on the list of things I will not be seeing before I die.

The Brandon Lee one still exists.
And then further back, there's a Charlie Sheen one called "The Wraith".
And then even further back, there's a Clint Eastwood one called "High Plains Drifter".

The Crow is a good, tho bleak, movie.
The Wraith is just nutty good fun. "Packer hates everyone!"
High Plains Drifter is simple perfection. Clint Eastwood at his best.

Given the author of the Crow comic made it as therapy for the grieving process of his dead wife, yeah, it's not gonna be Mel Brooks.

Oh yeah, the wraith was a better crow movie than the sequels. It is also a prequel for Independence day and shows how Randy Quaid lost his job and ended up crop dusting.

The first crow was a great introduction to industrial music for people outside the scene, and some of us delved much deaper into some really quality sound as we got sucked into the goth kids area.

I was listening to that Ozzy crap and realized how much of a fucking wanker he really is, and how absolutely low they sank to use him on the reboot. They should have killed Ozzy before Sharon sold his soul to MTV. Then we could have still imagined him in his lord of demonic awesome form instead of knowing what he was like because of reality TV.

I am thinking she could be a great crow. The sort of crow that could break the fourth wall and kill a lot of racists and sexists who tried to destroy her in life.

That is a crow movie that might actually work as great as the original.

It could be called the crow Woke

hmm... not sure "industrial" is accurate. I mean, Jane Sibbery is kinda Kate Bush like, while Violent Femmes are the granddaddies of folk punk. Only NIN and maybe ThrillKillKult really fit the genre in the early 90s.

I'd have thrown in Ministry's cover of Lay Lady, Lay for the pre murder love bits, probably Nitzer Ebb in the background when Eric is sneaking up on them in the clubhouse, and maybe even gone with Scrapin' Fetus at some point requiring crescendo..

I am not saying every song was, but it was probably one of the first big hit mainstream movies to feature industrial music over more techno or rock for a club or bar scene. The only soundtrack I knew of at the time that was purely one music type was Maximum Overdrive (That is excluding any music biopics or something dedicated to a band like who is spinal tap).

The crow did carry things like goth and industrial ideas into the more popular consciousness at the time IIRC. Before that those things were more concealed in the realm of Heavy Metal fandom for those outside who did not want to look deeper. If you were already on the inside you probably did not see the change.
