I generally agree but the guy did threaten to kill an officer and his family after finding out where the officer lived. The guy then shot the family dog in front of the officer's children. Then there is the old saying that if you make the cops come after you then you know there is an ass whooping coming. This guy lead them on a high speed chase, ditched his car, stole a horse, then kept the chase going cross country on horse back. Finally, he kept resisting arrest after they finally caught him. So I do not wonder why the cops singled him out for special attention. They tend to get angry when you threaten to kill their families and chase you all over hell and back.
