Chang'e 3 lands on the moon: http://www.planetary.org/blogs/emily-lakdawalla/2013/12140619-change-3-has-successfully-landed.html Amazing how the footage of final descent taken by this lander looks basically identical and indistinguishable from that taken by the Apollo landers: I guess the Chinese must have faked it too, on the same soundstage in Nevada that NASA used.
They just pirated the Eagle footage from a torrent and used that to make their "moon lander" footage appear real. Also, all the Chinese characters in the thread title made this look like a spammer thread.
Also, I'm shocked that it has been 37 years since the last lunar landing. I realize that NASA and other space agencies have been concentrating more on LEO and planetary exploration, but that's a long time to leave the Moon alone.
Still having troubles coming to terms with the fact that @Midnight Funeral turned out to be a conspiracy theorist. If it can happen to him it can happen to any one of us
