Clearly, using a rock to rob a convenience store could only be the result of violent video games and violent rap music. Also, why the fuck did she throw the rock first? Wouldn't it have a better chance (although still a slim one) if she made the demand and then threatened with the rock?
I'm thinking long hair, combed to one side, tight dark clothes, that's right another emo crime. While ten may be a bit young for emo, it is evidence of how deep the vines of this insidious movement have grown into our culture. The rock probably represented the oppression she's been forced to live under as an upper middle class white kid. No doubt the throwing of the rock was a symbolic act, as she was attempting to unload the burden of her pain off onto the store clerk.

Tangenentally related, some kid stripped down to his underwear and danced around behind the counter of a NY McDonalds, while his friends videoed it. Then when employees tried to stop it, they beat them up and stole their wallet. (Or does that go in the McDonald's midget thread? )
