Predictions? Picks? Wishes? Allas is looking very weak. They tanked 3 of their last 4 games (and today's was against 2nd-worst Detroit). I doubt that they'll make it past Seattle in the first round. Chicago isn't as tough as their record indicates. They didn't really play anybody all season and lost to teams that they should've beaten. The NFC playoffs will determine this year's sacrificial lamb, IMHO. San Diego or Baltimore should crush any of the NFC teams in the Superbowl.
A limey's playoff round predictions; NE to beat Jets easily - better team, and Tom Brady Colts to beat KC - win on last possession, not much defense on either side Dallas to beat Seattle - Dallas have been bad for about 3 weeks, compared to Seattle's 3 months. Giants to beat Eagles - assuming NY start to play anywhere close to how they can
The Cards will win it all! ...um. My son just told me that the cards were one of the worst teams to play.....He also asked that I not tell people we are related....
I hate to say it, but the Eagles may run the table in the absolutely pathetic NFC. The Bears simply are too unstable at QB. The Cowboys are a total farce after losing to Detroit. New Orleans? possibly. In the AFC, it comes down to either San Diego or Baltimore. I think New England may be a darkhorse. Forget Indy- too inconsistent. Super Bowl- San Diego beats Philadelphia.
The win in New England was the Jet's only notable one of the season really. I can't see it happening again.
I'm not sure who I hate more, the Colts or my own Jags. Guess I'm on cruise control for the rest of the season.
I can't disagree with any of that other than I think Baltimore may shock the Chargers and they'd be the team that beats the Eagles or whichever NFC team stumbles into the Superbowl.
NFC === Wildcard Round --------------- Mediocre Dallas team beats bad Seattle team Eagles beat Giants Division Round -------------- Chicago beats Dallas in a close one Saints trounce Eagles Conf Championship ------------------ Saints overpower Bears AFC === Wildcard Round --------------- Chiefs upset Indy with power running game NE gets past Jets Division Round -------------- Chargers easily handle Chiefs Baltimore over Patriots Conf Championship ------------------ Chargers defeat Ravens Superbowl ======== Chargers nip Saints in a close one
I'd love to see the Jets bitch-slap the hell out of the Pats. I still have a lot of bones to pick with Bellichicken.
Unless the Giants tranform into earlier season form(very doubtful) they are going to get their teeth kicked in. I have enjoyed the Cowboys crashing and burning, though. Decidedly fewer Romosexuals around latly. My Predictions(Home team in CAPS) : Wild Card Round EAGLES over Giants SEAHAWKS over Cowboys Chiefs over COLTS PATS over Jets Divsion Round SAINTS over Eagles Seahawks over BEARS CHARGERS over Chiefs Pats over RAVENS Conference Championship CHARGERS over Pats SAINTS over Seahawks Super Bowl XLI Chargers over Saints 38-13
Ravens already beat the Chargers this year, but it's hard to beat a good team twice in one season. Hence I give the edge to San Diego.
Seahawks winning two games? I seriously don't see it. They haven't played a decent game in well over a month! Also don't see the Patsies getting anywhere close to the Ravens. Beyond that, I got no beefs.
Playoffs always have some surprises. As for the Hawks it's a matter of who they are playing for me. The Cowboys are back down to earth and the Seahawks aren't losing a home playoff game to them and the next one is jut a genuine upset. As for the Pats, I learned the hard way not to bet against Tom Brady. I'll only pick against them when I have to.
With Romo not pulling the team the distance I don't know if the Cowboys will go past the 2nd round. I am predicting a win over Seattle though. Like the rest of you at this point I choose San Diego to win it all.
The Arizona Cardinals (5-11) have fired head coach Denny Green. The Atlanta Falcons (7-9) have fired Jim Mora. For the NFL Championship, San Diego Chargers over Jeff Garcia and the Philadelphia Eagles.
I think they have a fightin' chance. The Big Green Machine has had some very surprising moments this season. Once they settled in to the Mangini Method, they've done pretty well, and Pennington seems to have gotten his mojo back after the wrist fracture and 2 shoulder surgeries.
I think that if they don't make it to the superbowl this year that next year, bareing any injuries, they will make it for sure... But I still think they will beat NE.
The Jets are an everydown running back from being a really good team. Not many teams can sum up what they need in one sentence.
Yeah, RB Leon Washington has kinda had a big breakout lately. Experience and consistency are in question, but he may be up to the task.
Hey let's do a Wordforge playoof pool...we'll pick every game with the spread. Winner gets a bucket of rep.
