I'm actually beginning to think Joe isn't really running.

His latest video town hall was another disaster.

He's far behind Trump in raising money.

I think he's just holding on until the convention where the DNC can ensure that there is no way for Bernie to get the nomination.

I agree and am hoping the same thing. The only problem with my hope is the DNC has been chosing god awful rapey old white men. I get the purpose is an establishment candidate that is going to give lip service to progressive ideas, but could they possibly find someone who does not have rapes and sexual molestation hanging around, and perhaps does not have a history of racist statements? Isn't there one boring lame ass puppet they can waddle out? If we are going to chose a corporate republican could we go with maybe bill weld? I would even go with Mittens Romnifeller at this point.

Megyn Kelley has made some pretty awful statements. However, I must giver her credit for doing something right.

Her interview with Tara Reade was good. She asked a lot of direct questions that were informed and we can hear the answers to.

indeed! Regardless of which speedbump the Dems decide to put in Trump's path, he's still running it over on his way to November victory! The economy will slowly but surely rebound while the Dems implode. Enough people will decide things are improving/returning to some semblance of normal so they might as well keep Trump around rather than risk god knows what by taking a chance on the increasingly FUBAR Dems. Some of the blue states are starting to piss off their own people because they are the most restrictive on opening up but they still have plenty of COVID victims.

I'm confident you can. Since when has Trump been anything less than overconfident?

Interesting article from a reporter on why the Biden sex charges are personally and professionally challenging.

One expects hypocrisy from politicians, so this should be no surprise.

But, really, come on! This is f**king rich coming from the woman who tried to put a hit on Brett Kavanaugh.

If it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.

Wow, speaking of viruses, it's hard to tell whether you caught this one from @Federal Farmer or vice versa. :garamet:

ETA: So FF thinks this is "dumb." Well, yeah. Lanz has been spouting this since forever. You're just a cheap knockoff.

Scintillating rebuttal, there, Sparky. What you should have done is explained why your boring, redundant "the left" comments are not the same as Lanz's, but you can't.

All due respect, there is objectively a lot of dissent within the left (if we're talking about the spectrum including all Democrats as the Left here).

If there weren't there would not be a vocal section of Democrats who think that Joe Biden should be replaced because of Reade's allegations. You didn't/don't see anyone on the Right voice an opinion about President Grab 'em By The Pussy needing to step down or even be thoroughly investigated over each/any of his 20-something allegations of sexual misconduct, did you?

Yes I did. They were called Never Trumpers. After the Access Hollywood debacle a great many within the party wanted Trump to drop out. It was the largest opposition to a party nominee that I had ever seen.

Not Democrats. The left. The hard left, as in Marxist/Leninist/Maoist left. The first thing such regimes do once they've seized power is send all of their ideological opponents and "intellectuals" to gulags, re-education, or the gallows.

So if Democrats and anyone not part of "The hard left, as in Marxist/Leninist/Maoist left" aren't "lefties", does that mean you think they are centrist?

By the general definition, yes. They lean left, but aren't hard left. Indeed, you'd find most American politicians are neither right nor left, nor centrist. They're a pack of short-sighted, self-interested idiots, by and large. Or as the joke has it, Republicans are bought and paid for, while Democrats are rented by the hour.

And so because you can't get at them, you make your broad-brush pronouncements here, and @Federal Farmer tags after you like a good little puppy. Not exactly accomplishing anything, either of you.
