    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...lowout-loss-on-sales-tax-vote-in-kansas-city/

Kansas City rejects public funding for stadiums by a nearly 3:2 ratio.

Keep in mind that the Chiefs won, what, three Super Bowls in the last four years, they have the best QB in the biz and a not-totally-improbable chance to bury the Tom Brady Patriots as the greatest NFL dynasty ever, the Royals are still the Royals but have an aging stadium in a bad location . . . and the voters told them off for wanting >$500m of taxpayer money.

    It's a new era.

I’m not optimistic about the abortion amendment reaching 60% because of the sheer number of MAGAts living in FL now.

Even if it does pass, I expect it to be similar to 2018 when we passed the ex-felon voting restoration amendment. DeSantis did everything possible to block it and then ultimately passed legislation requiring all outstanding fines, fees, charges etc to be paid. One can imagine the road blocks that would be put up to block women from accessing reproductive care.

Neoliberalism versus nationalism. The genocidaire versus the insurrectionist. Fuck them both. Very glad that I'm not in the position some of you are of having to deal with these scum as your candidates.

Always more of the same while nobody wants to consider letting go of grudges and voting outside their "tribe."

A lot of people on this site who would normally vote Republican are going outside of their tribe this time around. :clyde:

Who on WF do you think voted for Trump in 2016 or 2020 but won't be in 2024?

Because anyone else is someone who hasn't voted for a Republican president in over a decade, so doesn't really count as what they normally do anymore.

Asyncritus was a Trumper in 2016. Where he stands now I don't know, but I think he would find it hard to swallow Trump's Bible peddling. As for any others, you have a point, but notice that I said "people who normally vote Republican" switching as opposed to self-identified Trump voters switching.

I’m sure that this will come as a shock to everyone but FF is going to have to vote for Trump now.

The real question isn’t Asyncritus. He’s not even in the US.

Posters I believe will vote for trump this year:

    Dayton
    Paladin
    Old Fella
    Chaos Descending
    Volpone
Most of the female posters who no longer post here

    Anyone wanna keep going?

Asyncritcus had a pro Trump comment in the 2016 run up. Probably more because of anti Hillary sentiment than anything else. :clyde:

    Most likely.

I don’t doubt Asyncritus would lean toward trump. I mean, if you look just at the fact that he still accepts the mutated version of Christianity that is modern US Christianity as “the truth”, then it’s not difficult to accept that he would also support trump.

However, as stated previously, not necessarily in this thread, one doesn’t have to be a devout Christian to support trump, but it’s also the two are not mutually exclusive (inclusive?)

I’m pretty sure most trump supporters are just tired of the two (or three) major political parties. They’re just too stupid to know trump is only going to make things worse and stupid enough to fall for the propaganda that Bernie and communism is evil.

While he has fallen for the propaganda that communism is evil, he’s not so stupid as to support trump.

P.S. I do not now, nor have I ever, been a "Trump guy."

Cue some douchecannon with the "You have used vaguely similar syllables on some particular topic, therefore you endorse his entire being." :dayton:
