In the Hebrew alphabet, "Nero Caesar" is written as NRON QSR. Since Hebrew letters can represent numbers, if you add the values for these letters up, the total is 666. Nero oversaw a persecution of Christians in Rome, and so the passage in Revelation about "the beast" is probably a reference to him.
Don't misunderestimate the power of mistranslation! BTW as for "23" - Strawberry Letter #23? It must be damn good if it took 22 attempts to perfect it - that's dedication right there! Way more epic than only getting the mambo right on the fifth attempt.
Back when the History Channel had actual, you know, history on it, I saw a documentary that said something along these lines.
The earliest versions we have, supposedly, give the number of The Beast as "616," which will lead to Nero if you do similar levels of convoluted numerology. Of course, if you play with things enough, you can work it out so that any number of American Presidents are "The Beast." This could mean that either George Washington was the Antichrist, or that whomever made up such shit was just pulling things out of their ass. I'm going to go with the latter interpretation, rather than the former. I suspect that I'm not alone in this, either.
Remember when Levy Shumaker 9 whacked the hell out of Jupiter? Any way, the Jehovah's Witnesses keep harping about only 144000 souls will be saved. If you add 144 years to the year of LS9, you get 2138, or the year Haley's grandchild makes its appearance. It's always 144000 which is 12^2. 12 cubed? Your odds improve.
Indeed. In my defense, I haven't been on WF all day. But you must be punished, so I'll let you choose your fate: ·Adopt a liberal position and outlook for a week. This does not necessitate the need to call for safe spaces or restriction of speech the Far Left seems to be employing. ·Take a ride in the attack otter of the ass captained, conveyor launched space submarine. @Dr. Krieg can find pictures if you need examples. ·Ban Packard. ·teh baba

That was a long time ago. The history channel hasn't done history in decades. On the up side in the late 80's to mid 90's the discovery channel would do 4-8 hours of WW2 history programs a night and I can remember my father and I watching those all the time in my mid to late teens.
I still think Thames Entertainment's "A World at War" done in the early 1970's was the best. It was long enough after that everything was declassified yet close enough that most of the main people were still alive so it included lots of first hand accounts. They had great interviews with several of the main players.
Do what you will shall be the whole of the law. And if anyone at all hasn't read Illuminatus! yet, they should get to it right now. It's remarkable in so many ways and such a landmark for American literature and global postmodern (conspiracy) discourse. It's also damn good.
I've only ever seen it by Ma & PA Kettle. You must be thinking of "Who's on first?" sketch or something. You have to hand it to whoever dreamt up this Ma & PA Kettle sketch. Brilliantly conceived.
