Yeah he's Palmers brother and chief of staff during Season 3, and then was in last seasons after Palmer's death as he was in town with him at the time (LA coincidentally!). Doesn't strike me as the Presidential type, but I suppose having your platform be "the ex-prez killed my bro and then tried to have me killed. Vote Palmer" can be pretty powerful.
Yeah but apparently never had to enter combat. Heh. So if it was 18mo between S3 and S4 and another between S4 and S5 that means its just been shy of 3 years since Palmer left office for the Keeler/Logan combo meaning an election is due in a year from the end of S5 give a few months for innaguration and day 6 maybe about a 18 month gap again? Weren't there rumors the gap between seasons would be extremely short this time?
Has to be. Last scene of S5 had Bauer beaten up and in the hands of the Chinese. You know, the guys he was running from at the end of S4
they will probably ignore the chink imprisionment of Bauer. Remeber how they ignored the poisoning of Palmer at the end of season 3?
I bought Palmer as Presidnet but his brother? Nah. Let's start fresh on that end. And Season Six should start right where Season Five ended.
Yeah I wanted a short gap, a few weeks or a month or so. This feels like an 18 month gap again which is gonna be weird.
Starting to sound like "Die Another Day" And to be honest, Wayne as president kinda bugs me, he was chief of staff, not an elected representative and now he's president...I seriously don't see him as the presidential type....I'd like to see... President Mike Novak
Novak is a weasle. Never did pay for pushing that whatsherface down the stairs. After a Nixonian style scandal, there needs to be fresh blood. If we assume Logan was a Republican, there would be a Democrat in there. I'd like to see Jack Bauer having to deal with the edicts and failed security policies of a John Kerry type.
Actually I wouldn't mind seeing more of the guy logan was VP for, yeah he blackmailed Palmer, but compared to the alternative that wasn't too bad.
I don't recall them ever saying that. He was in the hospital and they did an article 25, but I don't remember him ever actually dieng. Also, if you don't see a corpse, they aint dead...just ask Rambo Heller... HEYYYYYY I like that one too "President Heller" A lot better than Wayne, if you want him around make him staff.
Heller would have been my choice, yeah. But being of the same political party might have been hard after that ordeal. Which brings up an interesting point. Heller probably will be out of office too. And Audrey's powers deminished.
Well Heller mowed down terrorists with a machinegun and how much of his defiance was recorded from the webcast. I'm thinking a good portion of America would vote for someone like that...balls of steel. If not....well he can be Jacks partner.
President Heller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT. MUST. HAPPEN. that is all.
Jack needs a president he can be working against. Heller would just let Jack do his thing, eliminating the drama.
Not so much fully against, so much as putting the weenie reins on Jack. I agree Season Five pretty much gave us a big enough dose of evil guy in the White House. I prefer Jack working in a situation where the government tries to tie his hands because of their weiner policies.
Evil Bashir and Milo!!! Chloe's ex-husband though...I mean he's a great character, but it felt really really awkward and forced at the end of season 5 to introduce her husband at like 4 in the fucking morning, only a few hours before the season was over. Plus, I don't like the idea of that guy getting a shot at Chloe when Edgar never did... Great character though. I just hope he and Chloe don't have any "we were in love once" drama going on.
