https://www.theguardian.com/film/20...-thompson-ashes-from-cannon-ex-managers-claim This is just a flash-in-the-pan post in case @matthunter or @Señor Hoint or anybody else missed it. First, it blows my mind, as it were, that such a thing could possibly cost so much money. Secondly, ain't it curious what-all ends up in the courts. It's odd they say this event was little known. I'd heard of it, and I'm hardly an expert. But that John Kerry(!) was present .... that I didn't know.
Why have I been tagged here? The HST/Spider Jerusalem link? Or have I garnered some beef from you? In which case, great - curry.
It's Spider Jerusalem from the Transmetropolitan collection of graphic novels by Warren Ellis. The character is very much based on HST, only transplanted to a generic dystopian future where, with the aid of his "Filthy Assistants" (read attractive young female interns) and a LARGE amount of drugs, he brings down a President who is a sociopathic asshole who wants to use his power to fuck with his enemies, and is in bed with neo-Nazis to get elected. It can probably be found in the "Non-Fiction" section these days.
