What is your favorite firearm to shoot?

What is your favorite historical firarm?

I like the Thompson Model 1921 (or is that 17) myself and the Garand.

I got to shoot an AK-47 in Poland, with actual ex-commies! I love to shoot .357 revolvers.

I bet I'm in the minority here, but the M-16 was extremely fun to shoot. Accurate, easy to learn, easy to use. Might not be the best infantry rifle, but it's damn fun to shoot with.

I don't have the full-auto kind, but my Colt AR-15 is sure one helluva fun gun to shoot!

The MAC-11 is a favorite, as is the Sig P226 and the M-14/M-1A.

My favorite handguns are any of the various makes/models of 1911 .45 ACP (I'm partial to Springfield Armory).

For shutguns, I prefer a Mossberg 590 with ghost ring sights.

As for military style rifles, I accept none other than the venerable AK-47 and it's civilian cousin th MAK-90 (I have the MAK-91, which is the same thing but with a longer barrel).

My RRA AR-15 with eotech holosight is fun-as-heck.

Really makes the fudds at the range turn their heads when I rapid fire off a mag. :ramen:

Nothing uber cool, but the lever action Winchester .22 I got when I was a boy is still my favorite gun to fire.

    When I pick up a 1911 after harvest we'll talk. ;)

M240, though mine was always mounted coaxially to the main gun on my tanks. The US waited way too long to switch from M60s to -240s. Excellent GPMG.

I also loved M3A1 submachine guns. Pretty much a bullet hose (no way Lee Marvin "snipes" that rope with a grease gun in The Dirty Dozen) but awfully fun to shoot.

Not a spectacular choice, but I like shotguns. The bigger the gauge, the better. I'd like to keep a 10 gauge around, just for the hell of it.

The 1928, I think, is the classic Elliot Ness model.

Me - my Colt .45 Gold Cup is my fave.

Historically, ya can't beat an 1892 Winchester.

Dammit, post 10 is perfectly funny.

You people are getting desensitized of me again.

    Guess I need another vacation.

    Hur hur hur.... :lolol:

It's actually because I can't shoot for shit and need a big hand full of pellets to have any hope of hitting somewhere near my intended target.

Well, when I finally work up the gas money and the nerve to go visit the Alberts, and UA shoots me in half, I at least hope I get to get out the "moommaaaa oooo!! I don't wanna diiieee!! i sometiimes wish I'd never been born at aaaallll!!!", part of bohemian rhapsody.

Cuz I always wanted to croak to that.

That would be an awesome death wail. Hard to do with little pellets in your lungs though.

    :garamet:

What I'd envisioned "hunting" is an armed burglar, while I'm scared shitless to the point of barely keeping the barrel steady. Best to be firing something that won't penetrate the wall or the floor into an adjacent room or apartment. So, I figure a big ass scatter gun throwing a fist full of small bird shot.

Other than that, it might be fun to get a launcher and spend the occasional afternoon shooting those clay disks.

And Diacanu, why would I shoot you? Were you planning on climbing up to my balcony and crawling through the living room window?

That would be one hell of an entrance, Spider Man. We're on the third floor, with no fire escape.

If you did that, you're likely to catch me off guard and see a bit more creative improvisation in my violence-dealing.
