Source It's nice to see some perspective on these people. They obviously aren't batman villains who can break out of maximum security prisons like Arkham, as the US media and good old American fear mongering has portrayed them.
You should now post a story about the four freed from Guantanamo who went back to Iraq/Afghanistan and blew themselves up, killing innocent people.
That's an... interesting take on what's going on here. People with half a brain see it as "I see your point, here's my counterpoint", but then, no one expects much from you anyway.
1. You're wrong. 2. Only the truly masochistic (like yours truly) and the the truly stupid (14th Doctor etc.) around here actually read your posts anymore, so the point is moot.
It isn't feeble...unfortunately more than a few released detainees went back to terrorist activities the moment they got out. I'm happy those Chinese muslims have a better life now, but they are hardly typical examples of Guantanamo inmates and it is perfectly valid to point that out.
The revenge part is debatable, especially if these people were going to blow themselves up before they were ever locked up in a prison. The point is that while there are certainly, without question, innocent people being locked up....there are also guilty people in there -- people that would kill innocent civilians without blinking first. So, to think we should just let them all go, or worse, put them in American prisons on American ground, is stupid. This article is nothing more than a ploy by the idiotic media to show the whole world how bad the US is.
You mean like the recurring theme about how nobody should offer any commentary about the savagery of Muslim culture in modern times without making a big display of acknowledging things that Christians did hundreds of years ago? Right. Fuck off.
Yep. For years the Red Room's majority position has been: 1. They must be guilty or they wouldn't be there. 2. They're not enemy combatants, so the Geneva conventions don't apply (besides, they must be guilty or they wouldn't be there). 3. They're not American citizens, so who gives a shit (besides, they must be guilty or they wouldn't be there)? Now it seems reality is not following the script.
Well, Garamet starts in at post #3 and here we go yet again. SSDD. God, I so enjoyed her being banned. Can we go back to that?
