I'm familiar with the "patty" situation and it's an excellent example of how completely obtuse our federal government can be. Unless you've never left the confines of your neighbourhood, everyone knows the difference between a patty and a patty.
You mean empanadas? At any rate almost every culture has these things. Us white people call them hot pockets.
nope, not an empanada. related maybe, but different enough... flakier pastry for starters generally a lot cheaper, too. "pockets" got the look in the video, btw.... but the story is more about white privilege at an institutional level (story takes place in the 80s) through the competing concepts or multiculturalism vs assimilation. there's also the angle of just a bored bureaucrat. but the were a couple of other things using patty in the name that failed to get busted...
