Why is it when coloreds like Rev. Wright say the government sucks and doesn't love us the way they should it's a legitimate expression about their angst due to injustice and lack of opportunity...

Anyone who was paying attention or not a lame troll would know that Obama explicitly stated that he did not agree with Wright on those comments. Where are you getting that he said it was "OK?"

To be fair...god knows why...I believe he means why is it a problem for poor, white people to be upset or "bitter" because the Government isn't doing enough for them....but it is a valiant and a clarion call to justice and a good thing when Wright preaches about how the Government doesn't do enough for black folks.

There seems to be a double-standard about who can be upset about their circumstances in Obama's remarks.

Obama never said it was wrong for smalltown people to be bitter because government isn't doing enough for them. He said it was understandable because government hasn't been doing enough for them.

He essentially said it WAS wrong for Wright to say exactly what he said (or at least that he disagreed with Wright). But Obama said Wright's statements were understandable as well, given the context Wright came out of.

So no double standard.

Yes, because one can't have a longtime friend or mentor and yet disagree with him on something.

No, you can't. Not and have the rest of us believe you disagree with him on his policies and beliefs. When it comes to trying to convince people that he doesn't share Wright's beliefs, it's obvious that Obama is full of shit.

Church isn't just a social group, for a believer it is their spiritual fuel and guidance. If your pastor is feeding you from a poisoned well you don't keep drinking deeply, you find a new pastor. If Obama stayed it is because he saw nothing wrong with what was being said and taught.

If he did see something wrong and went anyway without taking a stand, that speaks even more to his lack of leadership abilities and the supposed strength of his stated moral convictions.

On minor issues, yes. Someone as offensive in his beliefs as Wright? Hell no, either personally or at church. It'd be like finding out someone I knew was a Klansman early on. That person wouldn't be in my circle of friends. And if a friend joined, he'd be out of my life.

Yes, I do. But, I do have to laugh at the ridiculous attempt to use the above as a good reason for Obama continuing to attend that church of hate and to continue supporting them financially through his offerings and tithes. That is in my opinion the most significant problem with what Obama is doing. He continues to attend that church and support it.

Even his buddy Oprah stopped attending the church.

When I hear Wrights rather unique perspectives on this country and Christianity, I do have to call into question Obama's slips of the tongue and even the comments that he has recently made. I think I know where they are coming from considering where he has been fed spiritually over the past 20 years.
