Truman ran and was elected in '48 and decided no to run in '52 as he had already had 8 years in the White House. Kennedy got his head blown off. Johnson was elected in '64 and got us suckered into Vietnam and knew there was zero chance of being re-elected, so he declined to run. Carter wrecked the economy. Other than Carter, Clinton was the first Democrat president since FDR to even run for re-election.

Since you've not answered a direct question, do you acknowledge that the facts in the article are correct and, further, that your statement that Clinton left Bush a lead-in to a recession is in error?
