No, if the gender of the person were to change I still feel going back to someone's room or home is saying you want privacy for more intimate contact unless a platonic purpose is specifically stated. If Bill O'Reilly was being accused of a single instance of taking a drunk woman back to his house and grabbing her crotch and sending her home when she said no I would also say that is not rape or assault. That is not what Bill did, but if he did that I would say she was blowing things up further than they needed to be. Perhaps it is rude, and certainly not to be done with a co worker, but it is not assault. Again, if people do not care to go home with takai because he might get grabby then sure that might happen and you probably should stay at the bar and watch your alcohol consumption.

I thought they were cutting him out of things now that this was all exposed and they feel safe to do so. Yes, it was wrong to wait until now to do so, but spacey is getting hammered, and rightfully so. Just because you are gay does not mean you get to get grabby with the cast, but it does mean if you ask politely and without coercion it is not improper to ask an adult male if you are a guy. Being gay doesn't excuse child molestation either.

Weird though, how is George even still around to be vindicated? I seem to recall RapeForge complaining that even a single unverified accusation was enough to destroy any man in our modern age?

I’ve refrained from commenting on this story in this forum for reasons that have nothing to do with George Takei or with his accuser, but given the amount and balance of he-said/he-said detail supplied by the parties in question and bolstered by friends of both as recounted in this article, I wonder whether the follow-up will be as widely publicized as the original rush to judgment.
