The Changeling Empire eradicated the Maquis. Remember? Sans the former Maquis on Voyager, they're all dead. Or virtually all of them.

    Kind of nullifies the issue.

They never followed up whether or not Ensign Ro, or Tom Riker made it.

I like to think that Tom Riker covertly beamed onto the Titan before the launch ceremony, killed Will Riker, stowed his body inside a spacesuit in an unused Jeffries Tube, and then replaced him as Captain.

Spent the whole rest of the voyage pounding Deanna Troi's Betazed beaver Maquis-style while asking "Still sensing an enormous presence, Counselor?"

with the tech we've seen in the 23rd century, there is NO reason to leave an incriminating body lying around.

Wasn't Riker in Cardassian prison since before the war?

Well, the teasing in STID is rather heavy. And why not, we never got to see that war anyway.

Look at the behind the scenes stuff on the DS9 DVDs and the ones for Enterprise as a clear contrast--in the former, everyone is obviously proud of the work they did on the show and are very obviously enthused to talk shop.

In the latter, you get Scott Bakula and John Billingsley spending ten minutes defending what is easily one of the top five worst episodes ever filmed for Star Trek.

    Kinda says everything, really. :borg:

Which episode is that? Enterprise is littered with them.

Can't post the comment in rep from my phone, but X is correct. I'm sure the segment can be found in youtube easily enough, though.

With DS9, the most that any of their misses got was a comment how many non-fans enjoyed the Ferengi episodes that most of fandom hated, but no one sat there trying to defend "Profit and Lace" and accuse the fanbase of not getting it.

Well, you have to consider things from an actors perspective. I've noticed more than once that for years the cast of ST:TNG repeatedly said that "The Naked Now" (second episode, very poor knockoff of the originals "The Naked Time") was one of their favorite episodes.

Because actors often enjoy doing something where they get to cut lose regardless of how it looks to the viewer.

Another thing is scheduling and location work. For example, "Yesterdays Enterprise" is considered one of the best ST:TNG episodes ever.

But IIRC, you seldom hear it mentioned as being a favorite of the cast? Why?

Mainly because it was filmed in a compressed shooting schedule for various reasons. A full day shorter than many episodes. This meant long hours and harder work for the cast and crew.
