Looks like the ACLU is going to take on FISA once again. Didn't they already try this and lose because they couldn't show an instance of any specific person being harmed?

Besides, maybe FISA isn't as bad as we think it is. There may be some beneficial aspects to it:

Correction: they couldn't legally show an instance of anyone being harmed. National Security and all that. It's a Catch-22 pretty much making getting rid of this law impossible except by changing Congress completely, or by using our 2nd amendment rights. I see the latter happening sooner than the former, but still a long way off; the utter lack of protest after the Alien and Sedition Acts were reintroduced was an early clue we were going to be perpetually screwed.

You're right. The only way this is going to change is by us changing Congress. And I'm betting the ACLU will promptly drop this one if Obama gets elected and/or the Dems sweep Congress.

Interestingly enough, The Dems control both houses of Congress now and they've done nothing to reverse it since they've been in charge. Does anyone really think they've just been waiting for their majorities to get even bigger? :busheep:
