I suppose this could fit under the "etc" mentioned in the forum description. So some friends and I have a little fan-zine we call MaximumWeeaboo, and we have aspirations to be an actual magazine of some kind. Most fan-zines are the full-sized magazines, but our initial issues have been made by folding a normal 8.5x11 sheet of paper in half. This is somewhat limiting in terms of article length and picture content, though, so we've been contemplating using a larger size, possibly by folding a larger 11x17 sheet of paper in half. What would you see as a better magazine size?
Are you seriously interested or is this just for the parody value? If you are interested in the topic, I'll answer, because editing, designing and project-managing magazines was a big part of my job for several years.
Mostly this was meant as a parody thread. It is based somewhat in fact, as we are actually considering moving up to the 7x8.5 size, but we've been too lazy to actually make physical copies for a while now anyway.
