So there's a conspiracy theory, that if I'm understanding this correctly, involves the UN, Obama and various others at the city and county level trying to force people to live in cities and involving mind control. I haven't watched the video at the link, but it apparently features various actual politicians from Georgia meeting about this. I haven't heard of this before. How about you? http://blogs.ajc.com/political-insi...2/georgia’s-own-52-minute-video-on-agenda-21/
holy shit. Did everyone have their tinfoil hats on during that meeting? So what are they trying to say? That the "new urbanism" architecture movement is actually a diabolical plot?
There's no such thing. There's also no Mafia, no Crips, no Bloods, the St. Valentine's Day Massacre was one guy shooting off a cap gun, the RICO statutes exist to keep different Girl Scout troops from selling cookies in the same neighborhoods, et cetera, et cetera, whatever will keep the blinders on us, don't question the establishment, OBEY, OBEY, OBEY
...9/11 was perpetrated by Saudi nationals, Kennedy was shot by Oswald alone, men landed on the moon...
Yes, I've seen several posts on Citi-Data Forum where they make that exact claim. Usually it's inane babbling about how the UN is trying to take over America and force everyone to live in tiny boxes after the UN has supposedly taken away everyone's guns. The really funny thing is this is all about some 25 year old voluntary guidelines suggesting way to improve cities to be more affordable to more people. Yet it has spawned these giant conspiracy theories due to Glenn Beck and even the John Birch Society (of "flouride in the water is used as a mind control device" fame) jumping in on the conspiracy theory. These are very main stream and influential right wing groups. You should have seen the thread where they went ballistic with their conspiracy claims because the mayor of NYC and SF wanted to repeal local zoning laws which required apartments to be at least of a certain size. The idea being that the government should get out of the way and if people want to buy tiny but cheap places they can and the market should decide these things instead of government. Yet the conservatives all swore up and down it was an UN plot and proof that Obama wants to impoverish all Americans. To repeat, each individual would have a choice of what type of apartment they wanted to buy or not buy but somehow it was a conspiracy to force EVERYONE into a tiny apartment on Manhattan. It's just crazy.
Climate change denialism, paranoia about the U.N., and belief that the Democrats are coming to take your guns away are all mainstream beliefs within the Republican party, uniformly endorsed by the national leadership of the party. The elements of the Agenda 21 conspiracy theory are all in effect elements of the Republican party platform. The only surprising thing here is that Mitt Romney didn't talk about Agenda 21 in his presidential campaign.
When you post something that leads to this: That's a pretty good indication that you're on the wrong track.
It's funny because many of these same folks are also first to scream about regulations destroying the economy. But talk about removing a regulation they don't understand, and it's bloody murder.
If Starchaser doesn't take the opportunity to agree with your post then he has an even less well developed sense of humor than visionrazer has.
It's not just that it those conspiracy theories are all popular stuff in the party and endorsed by ALL of the party leadership but it is also that they felt so strongly about these insane conspiracy theories that they made them OFFICIAL PARTS of the party platform. http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/29/republican-platform-opposes-agenda-21/ I'm telling you, when a poster like (name removed but you can guess who it was) slanders my name by saying "not all Republicans support these things so you're just being a poopyhead", he is proving himself to be an ignorant numbnut. It's in his fucking party's OFFICIAL PLATFORM which declares what the party officially believes and stands for, so, YES, that is the official position of your party! Why is it he is so ignorant of his own party's official positions and I am left trying to explain it to him?
Calling ConfederateFop a poopyhead for using broad generalizations is not libel. First, he'd have to suffer actual harm to his reputation, and harming his reputation would be like keying up the fender of an Edsel in a scrapyard. Second, the person calling him a poopyhead would have to be demonstrably incorrect in applying that label; but as ConfederateFop has demonstrated consistently for years, he is, in fact, a poopyhead.
we have been mind-controled for years... it has been accomplished through all those radio and tv broadcasts that starts with "THIS IS A TEST, THIS ONLY A TEST" then you get that obnoxious blaring sound which is full of subliminal instructions to behave and obey.. ilgrims:
