http://www.tmz.com/2015/09/15/star-...lien-arrested-exposing-herself-kids-mug-shot/ Replaced by Seven, got a little bit chunky, and asshole "fans", acted like she was Jabba, now this. Arrested for allegedly flashing kids. I don't trust the police account, there's no evidence, "we just don't believe her", doesn't cut it with me, and they've been known to tell tales to trump things up, and then a car cam, or citizen cellphone tells an opposite story, so the alleged crazy behavior when they hauled her in is suspect. Still, guilty or innocent, the very fact that the dirty poor-people-justice-system can get its filthy mitts on her now says enough about how low she's sunk. And the pic isn't too flattering. Yeesh.
If every scrap of it's true, the poor woman is mentally ill, and mental illness isn't a criminal justice problem. But, neither is drug abuse, and that falls on deaf ears in this sad society too.
Wow, I wouldn't even have recognized her. From the sound of things, yeah, there might be some mental health issues there. This isn't the first time she's been arrested.
At 41, with the state of her appearance, and the complete collapse of her career, something's definitely not right. Met her 20 years ago and she was gorgeous.
Well.... shit. The article states that she was arrested on the 3rd of September, and is still in jail. Her bond is $2500, she must have really hit bottom if she hasn't bonded out yet. Wow.... I feel really bad for her now. This is where she's living now.
I never liked her on Voyager. She was easily one of the worst actors in Trek history. You guys feel sorry for her because you wanted to bang the little child she used to look like back in the day. Perverts.
The holodeck would be much better at fulfilling fantasies. That being said, being attracted to Jennifer Lien while she was on ST:Voyager would be more closely related to ephebophilia, since she was 20 when she first appeared on the show. And every state considers the the age of 18 and above to be a legal adult and age of consent, so 18-19 fits legality and she was 20 at the time. So your attempt at trolling is a massive fail.
So, I stopped by TBBS. No explosion (yet), but there was a poster that said he'd been to cons where Lien was stoned off her ass back in the early 2000s. This might explain the real reason she was sacked over Garrett Wang. I thought that making the People list was a pretty weaksauce reason to keep around his weak link character. Either way, this is unfortunate.
She probably heard I had posted new Voyager reviews and gave up hope. Seriously, though, damn. It's hard to read how she's ended up.
Oh, like she's really any worse off than any of the other Star Trek actors. She moved to Tennessee, whereas Shatner moved to Kentucky where he found himself shoveling horse poop and once had to douse himself with V-8 in a convenient store bathroom because a skunk sprayed him when he was walking down a county road. Patrick Stewart had to retreat to a university and tried to eek out a living making cheesy comic book movies. Leonard Nemoy ended up doing car commercials or something, while Kate Mulgrew was last seen wearing on orange prison jumpsuit. Nobody even knows where the guy who played the captain on "Enterprise" is. Maybe he's time jumping again.
Kes was by far my most hated ST character. I didn't even like Voyager that much. I'm glad she got replaced and this news doesn't bother me. Hollywood is filled with crazy people and drugs, it should be surprising to nobody when an actor gets caught doing crazy shit.
Mental illness isn't a moral failing. See, this attitude is why sick people are put in dungeons instead of hospitals.
Who says she has a mental illness, you? Can you write me a prescription for some Xanax, Dr. Dicky? I have...uh...anxiety, yeah, that's the ticket.
I didn't care for Neelix at all. Kes was okay. Although I liked Tuvok, I hated Neelix enough that I would've preferred for Tuvix to remain as a character.
Except Phlox was actually one of the very few good things about his series. Neelix needed a BSG-style airlocking.
