Tch...you don't pay attention. It's the inferior sequel to "The Craft" and it's very woke. Its got a trans character, and the male romantic interest comes out as bi, and David Duchovny as the baddie is the patriarchy personified, and it's everything UA would hate, and I've been taunting him with it for the past year and a half. Anyway, if you told me anyone out of that movie was going to break out, I would have done a spit take. But Cailee Spaeny has proven me wrong.
1. Who's JLC? 2. Yeah, remember, Ripley's pod got lost, and she was frozen for 50 years. In the director's cut, her daughter died of old age.
I just don't have that kind of memory for detail but yeah, that tracks (JLC was my late night confusion of the name of Sigourney Weaver with Jamie Lee Curtis for unknown reasons)
It is looking like it is going back to the horror roots of alien. Alien movies are best when they are doing the horror chase thing, and not the goofy science or whatever the fuck they were doing with most of the third movie. There were things from 3 and 4 which worked. That was when they were getting hunted by the aliens and had to run. Stop trying to throw amazing corporate twists and science at us. Just give us a survival chase movie through some claustrophobic tunnels and some alien hive. That is where the aliens are the best.
