A couple could lose their home. Link That'll teach these tax cheats. :hitlerdance: For a $1.63. Gotta love the government.
Hey. Money's important. Don't mess with the government's moneyh. After all, it may be a dollar sixty-three now but down the road it could be $7500 or more that the government can't use to fund its pork man. Don't mess with the government's money.
So does anyone else see that reading as "we know they are in the right but still want to try and get some money out of this couple"
And grossly so, if I'm reading the article correctly. A five grand settlement over property worth ninety? That fucker needs to be shot in the knees.
Aye, the system messed up, the problem was noticed and the decision reversed. It seems the main source of problems now is an arsehole developer trying to get money out of a couple who owe him nothing.
All the while bitching about how his "rights" have been "violated." Newsflash, asshole: $125 does not get you any "rights" on land owned by someone else. If I were those poor people, I would have generously offered to reimburse him for the money he'd spent "buying" the property in the first place - $126.73, if I read the article correctly.
All this over a $1,63. Happened seven years ago from year 2000. The tax collector never bothered to say "You owe us $1,63. I'm sure the Attwoods would have paid another $1,63 if asked for it. Government efficiency at work. :hitlerdance:
Yep... slightly more efficient than my wireless provider. I get that government efficiency sucks, its just that so does every other big institution. I guess we are fucked no matter what -.-
