There is this anime convention in a convention center. The con center is not connected to a hotel. Since it is local I decide to scout the area for the best hotel. I figure I will make the reservations in person at the front desk since I am there wandering about. These are not branded hotels that I am walking into. This is miami so the branded hotels are down by the beach and I want to be near the con center which means these non big nasme hotels are what I am dealing with unless I want to walk. So I go to the front desk on a couple of them and there are these bearded hipster dudes there. They cannot make reservations. I have to do it online. I even started asking if I wanted to get a room right now I would have to get on my phone and make a reservation and pay for it online and maybe it gets to these people and I can get a room. They do not take cash or credit card at the desk for a room. The people at the front desk cannot even tell me if they are booked up for the present day. This is not one hotel either, this seems to be a thing with these smaller hotels in the area. I was amazed when the big fucking Westin in Atlanta could not take cash. Am I getting to old to get into some hotels?
