    Source.

I don't really see a solution to this. Eating habits are largely a result of the environment you live in.

The widespread belief among lardasses that they can't lose the weight doesn't help either.

    Want to know why?

    Specifically the bottom portion.

Fats being put in the same category as sweets/oils.....and fruits/vegetables being less important than meats.

Basically they're telling people to avoid fat, eat less protein, and load up on carbs.

Someone forgot to mention what insulin is, how how it regulates your body fat when you eat too many carbs.

    Stupid fucking government.

I think you have the pyramid upside down. They're recommending more servings of fruits and vegetables than meats.

I meant to say 'more' important that meats/dairy products.

6-11 servings of carb heavy foods is fucked.

There's a reason bread and rice are called staple foods. I'm just not seeing the issue with that.

Too many carbs leads to an increase in your insulin levels, which means a decrease in the amount of fat your insulin can regulate because its busy regulating all that sugar and glycogen in your bloodstream, which leads to an increase in obesity rates.

    Pretty cut and dried.

Too bad the fucking government is too stupid to realize it.

Of course. The less money people have in a crisis, the cheaper they eat. These days that means McDonalds and other fast foods. The combination of lots of carbs plus lots of processed fats is pure evil. And people don't realize it's actually cheaper to cook something healthy by yourself.

I'm sure it's the Obamessiah's fault but, never fear. He'll figure out some way to blame W for it.

Thank you! I'm sick to death of people saying "eating healthy is expensive." :(

A huge bunch of collard greens...throw in some bacon or ham-hocks for flavor. This feeds a family for a couple of dollars! Tales only a few minutes to prepare! Splurge on corn-bread if you feel frisky- it's 40 cents for a box.

I bought a whole bunch of just beyond ripe (better eat them fast!) bananas for ONE DOLLAR! Yes, that was my lunch + snack today.

We as a nation are getting LAZY...fast food is a perfect excuse for being fat + lazy.
