Johnson/Weld. It will be a miracle if they get 5%, but I did my teensy-tiny part. We didn't have any of those weirdly-worded referendums this time around to vote on; I was kind of disappointed. No lines at the polls! Thank goodness for small-town living (and early voting for those who wanted that option).
You should have told me you were running earlier, I would have voted for you. Now it's too late - just as well, I chose the "write in" option for myself as Supreme Commander Of The Universe. Last election I ran unopposed and still lost. The system is rigged!
At this point I'm more worried about people taking drastic measures should their candidate lose. Some of the ways my friends are talking actually concerns me, as in "please don't do anything rash" concerns me. This election has been hyped up past the breaking point. I have a very bad feeling about what might happen regardless of who wins tonight.
And projections have Hillary winning 11 states, so your estimate of Trump winning 45 appears to be a bit off.
I'd laugh, I really would, but right now I'm worried for one of my friends in particular. She is not taking this well at all.
My girlfriend is very angry at me right now, I think, we were texting and she told me to fuck off. It's our first fight.
Sadly for /pol/Forge, it ain't me. I'm gonna hop a flight into Vancouver next week, and I can't do that if I'm dead
Dude.....unless your friend is Hillary Clinton herself, she needs to calm down & put it all in perspective and don't get to wrapped around the axle over this. I was going to put some serious money down on Trump to win - I could have cleaned up big time! Damn I suck - I would make the worst gambler ever.
That's what my friends and I are trying to tell her. I hate that things have been hyped up so much that there are people who feel this is a life or death moment for them. Damned media, I'm sick of that shit.
I won't say I'm entirely surprised by this surge from Trump, but I can understand her pain. Frankly, even if Clinton did manage a win at this point, it's a hollow victory with all the vitriol and hate that's come outta the woodwork. I was serious about leaving this country. Im completely done, and it's pretty obvious that minorities haven't got a hope and a prayer of ever being protected here. None of this is funny anymore, if it ever was. Best case scenario at this point is Gary Johnson gets his five percent to get the Libertarians funding for next time. I give up. Really.
You think minorities will be treated any better anywhere else? Do you think if Hillary is elected everything will be rainbows, ice-cream and puppy-dogs for minorities? Damn you sound like the rednecks who think the democrats want their guns though there is no chance of that happening. You think Donald Trump would have nothing better to do than turn back the clock on any gains made by minorities?
I've never once said Clinton is good. It's just shitty the GOP deplorables rallied around a bully and the DNC railroaded all the other possible candidates out the field. Our entire system is beyond fucked, regardless who wins.
