I'm not specifically caucasian either, yet you're calling me both a racist and ignoring that fact. Besides, don't you tend to claim yourself the intellectual superior of, well, everyone? You killed your own argument there, genius.
Considering how many Natives I've come across who were racist, and all the black people who call other black people"coon" and "house nigger" and the like because they didn't vote the way they wanted them to, you are hardly a unique case, racist. The only thing this clears up is that you are, in fact, an employer of doublethink. Since racism is simply prejudice based on race, it is indeed entirely possible to be racist against white people. The people who employ this doublethink or otherwise use identity politics are simply bigots, and this is an example of why.
Only because you assume I'm saying prejudice against whites is acceptable, or that white people deserve it. That's not my position at all. I'm saying prejudice against whites doesn't fit the definition of racism, because: This definition is inadequate, as it fails to take into account the social context in which racism occurs. Prejudice is a matter of individual feelings, while racism is built into the structure of society. There is no definition of "white race" that does not involve being in the dominant position of a racial hierarchy. The two are fundamentally inseperable. Prejudice is still wrong, both morally and factually. But not all prejudice is racism.
No, I'm basing that off of what you said. What you said was an example of doublethink. Your doublethink doesn't allow you to accept the dictionary definition of what racism and prejudice are. Yes, I am aware of the doublethink and have seen it used many times before you did here. Prejudice is in the word itself, quite literally. It simply means to "pre-judge." That's it. Racism and sexism are simply a type of prejudice, and the type is again exactly what it says on the tin.
Say, Coward, weren't you in the Army? Didn't they drill that whole "integrity first" thing into your head? Guess it never took, huh?
Ok, back to the kiddie table with you. I'll be waiting when you feel up to having an adult conversation.
Believing your own race to be superior to another is possible within any race. So yes, it is possible for whites to be on the receiving end of racism.
Not that it's any excuse, but the reason no one is up in knots when a black guy is racist is because the black guy more often than not is in no position to affect policies against white folks. There haven't been housing laws pushing WASPs into ghettos. There hasn't been a barring of that same group from colleges. A black guy with a bachelor's has the same odds of getting hired as a white guy with a high school diploma. I say this as someone whose grandmother was livid my dad got a passing-for-white chick pregnant and didn't acknowledge me for years for it. You know how much that affected anything in the long run? Not at all.
First, thank you for the intelligent reply. I'm more than happy to explain my position and the reasoning that leads me to hold it. I agree with your first statement. It is definitely possible for a person of any race to believe their own race superior. It is also possible for a person of any race to believe they are the reincarnation of Napoleon, or that they were switched at birth with an alien. Personal belief is a powerful force, but at some point it still has to run up against external reality. And that reality is, the only "superior race" is white. Not intrinsically superior, not genetically superior, but in the superior position of society's racial hierarchy. For your second statement, we need to go back to the difference between prejudice, which relates to individual belief, and racism, which is a structural component of society. It is absolutely possible for whites to be on the receiving end of racial prejudice. However, the distinction I am trying to make becomes clear when we consider that two people of different races, despite having no personal prejudice against one another, will still have to contend with racism in their relationship. It's a social force over which the individual has no control.
