The real problem is the idiocy. Plastic bags are one of the greenest things on the planet. They are made from recycled plastic that would otherwise go in a landfill and used bags are then sent back and melted down and made into plastic bags again. Its all the right things but there are some idiots who cannot see that. Reusable bags for foods is a good way to spread food poisoning and disease.
What the fuck happened to commons sense and basic reality?

In my experience they last not much longer than paper bags, and the point of failure is the same: the handles.

They're good for cleaning out litter boxes and collecting scooped up dog doo from the backyard.

We don't have many "Save the Earth" types on this board, but you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would agree on that.
    Are they?

Not being sarcastic,I'm kind of curious, because whenever I do see something packaging that's been recycled, it's rarely more than 30 percent post-consumer product being used.

That, I doubt anyone disagrees on.

I use my own personal bags for dry goods like toiletries and boxed foods, but I'll gladly suck up taking a bag for my meats.
