It's looking like Tennessee won't be far behind. Last week a judge granted a preliminary injunction that requires the state to recognize the marriages of three couples that are challenging the state's ban while the case is decided.

The "traditional nuclear family" has been the norm for barely 200 years. It is not the natural environment for human beings to be raised in.

Sure isn't the natural environment. The church openly preached against the nuclear family, and decried the loss of the multi-generational extended family as a sure-fire recipe for sin and damnation. The nuclear family is an experiment that failed, and lacks the additional support found in extended families. Hence: why it now takes a village.

The "church" (and by that I'm assuming you mean the Roman Catholic church, which does not speak for all Christians), did not preach against the nuclear family.
