Anyone here familiar with the Tsunami Disaster that struck Southeast Asia a few years ago? I while back I was watching a program on TV that showed a group of mourners on the ocean shore, that were paying tribute to all of their loved ones that perished on that horrible day.

They all had what looked like small passenger balloons in the palm of their hands that appeared to be made out of some kind of rice paper with the bottom open. Each balloon had a small cup on the bottom that was attached to the balloon by a pair of strings, and appeared to be filled with some kind of flammable substance. Whe the substance was lit, the heat from the flame began to fill the balloon, which gently rose out of their hands and began to float out to sea. Everyone there launched one balloon for each family victim that lost their lives.

For those that understand what I am talking about, do you (or anyone here) know how they made those balloons? This has been a project of mines now for quite some time and no matter how I try, I can't seem to be able to make one of my own that works. [IMG]

What goes wrong that stops it working? Are you not getting enough lift?
