I don't mind WOW, but I have done it and am looking for something I can explore and enjoy that is similar. I don't mind paying a monthly fee for something decent. I enjoy PvP scenario type battles, but not a full PvP environment. I am not really sure what is out there, but I can easily get the hang of most games.
more pve nice and friendly community as a result. Very large landscapes https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Main_Page getting 64 bit update in june and area large enough to be expansion. http://www.lotro.com/en
It kind of went off the rails with the post-Revan expansions, but I really enjoyed my time playing Star Wars: The Old Republic. I also remember the game being very alt friendly. I'd still be playing it if all of my friends hadn't left the game. I'm a very social gamer and only play with friends. I'm back playing Star Trek: Online for the time being because that's where we gravitate back to between games. It's fun enough, but the PvP is non-existent.

I will probably try SWTOR. My problem with WOW was due to the kung fu panda expansion putting my favorite class back on the useless rack. I was not asking to be top DPS, but it would be nice for rogues not to be left behind because they were not able to keep up with other DPS classes. It is one thing if you don't know how to play your class, but a completely different when the game makes it impossible to compete. Especially after you were finally able to hold your own before the expansion. I prefer old fantasy, but I guess I could get into space fantasy.
I enjoyed D&D Online but the PVP is just a room in the pubs, I gather. The one I still play is Kingdom of Loathing, which is its own kettle of newts. The PVP involves silly contests like how many B's are in your equipment or how many bosses you've defeated lately. It's a great game but not a WOW experience.
Originally I was a huge everquest gamer. WOW was like EQ light. It was like EQ really light. Which made it sort of a cake walk for me. I ended up getting used to spending my nights in guild chat and either raiding or doing dumb ass shit. It was better than going to bars or playing the dating game. Plus I would multi box and hammer out a few other online time sink heavy games. Some people called it anti social, but given there were people in the guild who were always doing stuff with their families and other activities it was like hanging out and chatting whenever I wanted. I like face to face chatting, but being a bit too far on the geeky side I end up running into pop culture bullshit way too often. I would really rather discuss other issues aside from who won the newest star search rip off, or what was happening on the latest survivor rip off. It always seems like I am a step off on some of the latest trends.
You like the old republic at all tereun I just subscribed again sounds great on 5.1 surround sound speakers.
Umm Rogues were pretty damn useful in WoD and Legion. No comment on BFA, though. That said, check out Elder Scrolls Online or just wait for WoW Classic in August.
