I wasn't aware that board policy on releasing threads had changed, isn't the point of releasing threads so that it can be seen we aren't talking about people behind their backs?

Terrible idea. Everyone hates him, and he's stalkerish creepy.

I generally don't say things about anyone I wouldn't say to their face. Apostle is aware that I am against him being on staff as I told him so when he contacted me about it.

If he got a hair across his ass over someone I don't think he could be trusted to let it go and do his job fairly. I also think we would have a repeat of Borgs...someone who would just go ahead and muck with the software when the urge suited him and not discussing it with the owners beforehand.

The keys to the board's operation are not something that should be lightly given, IMO.

Don't care. If you're actually serious about transparency, release it as-is.

I say we go ahead. There has been no satisfactory argument for deviating from our usual practice. And Elwood and Tamar make a good point that what we say here should always be something we can stand by.

Tex and Flow haven't weighed in, but I'm pretty sure they would say release as is. All four of us have been pretty clear to each other that we want things to be as transparent as possible, with some exceptions only for issues regarding personal or otherwise sensitive information. There's nothing to protect here.
