So Kel-Tec has gone and made themselves a pistol that: not only shoots a .223 round but looks like something out of a science fiction movie. Not only is there a rail for a scope, but the end of the barrel is threaded (it has a little knurled cap on it to protect the threads) so's you can put some kind of freaky flash-suppressor/silencer thingie on it to add to the sci-fi look. *I don't actually HAVE a Han Solo costume, but you see my point, right?
That was my first thought when I saw it: Han Solo, your pistol is ready. I'd love to have one. Unfortunately, I live in the People's Republic.
What, you can't have a pistol that fires the US military infantry rifle cartridge (and is compatible with 30 (or more?) round magazines)? Man, I wanna see one of them things. The writeup says they'll take M-16 mags. I wonder if you could put the 100 round double-drum on it.
In California, you can't have a handgun with a detachable magazine that inserts anywhere but in the grip; it basically outlaws any repeating handguns that fire rifle calibers. Sure you could. Though it's gonna be a might bit heavy if you did...
Han Solo is waaay down on my wanted costume list. I still need more crap for my Stargate costume(s) . And I'm sorely considering a Batman costume. And the Lone Ranger. And ...I've said too much, haven't I?
OMG. I love that pistol. It does look like something Han (or Mal as mentioned above) would keep at his side. I don't even own a gun and I want one of those. -J.
Ooh. Now that you have the Mal gun, you should re-do the Mal-esque avatar. Only ideally you should do it outside in a desert environment instead of in a dentist's waiting room.
Here's a 20 second ms paint hack shortening the barrel. If they made a variant like that it would almost make a feasible hand cannon for concealed carry or what have you.
Yeah, because I want to be responsible for a rifle round when I get involved in that shopping mall shootout.
