Hard saying what his power limits are in the movies, cuz they seem to be cherry-picking on the fly, but in the comics, Loki can do everything Doctor Strange can do, including portals, and astral projections.

BUT, Dr. Strange tossed Loki around like a rag doll in Ragnarok, sooo...I'm thinking movie Loki is weaker.

All these theories are fun, but I dunno, Loki looked pretty dead to me. I'll presume he stays dead and then Marvel can give him a big "I'm back" scene to surprise me. :)

I only know that others have suggested Loki be in someone so it would fit with his actions that caused his death. Of course, that may just be shitty writing. I really don't think Loki would have gone for the stab had he not had a way to come back. Sure he has come around, but that does not mean he has totally lost all of his senses.

Of course he looked dead because his body was dead.

This is why the movie frustrated me so much. How is it that the asguardians are so clueless about these stones, and how is it that thanos has no idea about the asguardians? One would think there would be lore about these stones on asguard. On top of that why didn't starlord's father seem to know of these things? Wouldn't he have been able to hold them, so why did he need starlord in the second GotG? Shouldn't some of these factions have had interaction?

Here is another thing. Starlord has contact with two of the daughters of thanos. One of them is in love with him. He knows of the infinity stone, and he should know the guy who he faced for it was delivering it to someone more powerful. I know he is a bit soft in the head, but why wouldn't he have asked his dad about these things? Saying he was just absent minded does not really cover it because he was thinking about green titties, and he knows she has a past and there is this rock that almost tore him apart for touching it. Wouldn't it come up?

I understand Thor is not the brains of the operation, but when he found out about the tesseract and that someone who was out there was looking for it, why does he not ask anything about it from his father who is alive, and why are they so clueless about thanos? Thor can have visions, so wouldn't you think somewhere along the line gigantic purple dude kills half the universe be felt in his force?

They're not. I think Dark World was the first time Infinity Stones were explicitly referenced when they handed over the stone to the Collector stating it was dangerous having two stones in proximity was dangerous.

Plus there was a pre-existing gauntlet, we saw it, or a fake one, in Thor and again in Ragnarok when Hela discarded it as a fake. I wonder if that'll come into play in Avengers 4?

It didn't fit the GOTG vol 2 plot.

Why would he ask? Quill isn't exactly a paragon of responsibility. Day was saved, stone was handed to Nova, time to move on. Plus GOTG vol 2 was't set long after the first one, with quite a gap between it and IW. Thanos probably wasn't making many moves at that point.

They probably weren't clueless about Thanos, the first Thor saw the destruction of the Bifrost and it was explicit in Dark World that this had caused some chaos. And at the end of that, Loki was in charge of Asgard, and as we saw at the start of Ragnarok he was more interested in leisure time than exerting any influence across reality.

Team Asgard: Universe Police hadn't really been Asgard! Fuck Yeahing the universe since Thor.
