I read somewhere that when compared to men, women actually have a different arrangement of photoreceptor cells in their eyes. They have more cones and rods. And that is why women can distinguish more individual colors than men. Men see 'blue' and women see 'blue', 'azure', 'cyan', 'cerulean', 'teal', etc.... Quite interesting actually.
Well that would help explain the enigma of women wanting so many seemingly identical pairs of shoes. Who knows, maybe ladies do have superior vision. But being happy with only one pair of black shoes ain't all that bad either.
1 pair of shoes?!? A single pair. Nothing else? Ok, I get that men aren't generally shoe-crazy like women, but really? I've got the following... - Tennis shoes/sneakers: usually 2 pairs in play at any given time. This doesn't count the old sneakers that have become "river shoes" or "lawn-mowing shoes". - Casuals: 3 pair brown (hey, a little variety doesn't hurt), 1 pair black - Dress: 4 total...1 black slip on, 1 black lace up, 1 cordovan slip on, 1 cordovan lace up - Boots: 2 total...1 work/hiking, 1 cowboy - Misc: 1 pr sandals, 1 pr flipflops, 1 pr slippers I don't know how I'd manage with only a single pair of black shoes. I'd look pretty silly on the golf course or at a wedding...
Hey I've but one pair of feet, I only need one pair of shoes. No not really, I've a pair of white shoes too. No cleats? No aqua socks? No bowling shoes!?
At a time... Oh, you fashion mogul, you! I don't do anything that I'd need cleats for. Who needs aqua socks when one has flip-flops and river shoes? I think I might've bowled once several years ago, and they rented me some shoes.
