I don't understand why you are not getting this -

See the part of your link that follows the "="?

Copy ONLY that part

then you open the tag with

[ yt=name ]

where "name" = whatever you want to appear on the button

then outside that tag you put the part you copied, in this case -

1uFcPjILC7k

then you close it with -

[/yt]

like so:

[yt=like so ] 1uFcPjILC7k [ /yt] only without the spaces.

thusly

[yt=like so]1uFcPjILC7k[/yt]

Still sounds complicated. Isn't there some kind of faster shortcut?

It's really not - takes a lot more to explain than to actually do.

the trickiest thing about it is identifying what to copy and paste.

After the "=" is the easy part. The tricky thing is when one is posed somewhere, or a "related" video to the first one, you have to only get the proper code, and NOT get the part that stars with "featured" or the address to the other board you found it on.

But I get around that by copying the title of the video into the search box so that I go right to the video without the extra stuff on the end of the address.

anyway, I'm sure that's confusing too.

But normally, it's really simple ...you just have to play with it a bit until you figure out what you are doing wrong. Once you do it right a time or two you'll feel stupid for having taken so long to figure it out (I know I did)

Yeah, I don't see why the YouTube function is so difficult for some people.

The "preview post" function is a good tool to use to make sure that the YT thing actually works, too.
