Is anyone else going to the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival on Saturday at Shoreline? I am finally going to get to see Behemoth again, but this time with Cannibal Corpse and Slayer!!!!!! (among other good bands). In my opinion the only worthwhile stage will be the Hot Topic Stage, which is so ironic because the Hot Topic Stage has all of the extreme metal bands and the Jaggermeister stage has all of the bands you will find at Hot Topic!!!

Yes the San Francisco Bay Area, or the "Yay Area". I unfortunately couldn't go. It sucks. I really wanted to go, but I have homework to do. FUCK THIS CLASS!!!!!

This is Behemoth, the main band I wanted to see:

I just saw Cannibal Corpse about a month ago, along with some no name death metal acts that were less than entertaining. I've seen Behemoth twice, once with Dimmu Borgir and Keep of Kalessin, and once with Danzig. I'll be seeing Goatwhore tomorrow night, Watain in October and Vader in November. How's the music scene in the Bay area?

I went to that same tour of Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, and Keep of Kalessin!!! I saw Dimmu and Danzig last November. Goatwhore is playing here soon (or already did not sure) too. The music scene is good at times. There hasn't been much in the past few month's, but this month we had Summer Slaughter and now the Mayhem Festival. In April Lamb of God and Children of Bodom came through. I unfortunately don't get to as many shows as I would like to. Unfortunately there is a lot of rap/hip hop around now.

Where I live isn't exactly the metal mecca of the US, but it does ok. the last show I saw was the Melvins with Green River, which was excellent and actually damaged my hearing! I think the best metal show I've seen has been Opeth. A truly great band.

Opeth comes through here quite a bit. They always sell out. I might go next time they come through.

If you haven't seen them, I would highly recommend it. they're a very tight band live, and because of the general length of their songs they only play one song off of every album live. Have you heard any of their work?

I have Blackwater Park. I have heard some of their other stuff. I like most of what I have heard. The new cd pretty much sucks though.

And just give me some good old fashioned Nine Inch Nails if you please.
