Chris Christie orders a public beach to be closed to the public, and is later caught sunbathing 0n it himself. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40478247 At least he had the decency to keep his shirt on.
The beach was actually closed to the public but governor lard ass doesn't think the rules apply to him.
You got to wonder what is going through his head at this point. He must have given up on having any type of elected office dreams after the 2016 primaries.
He has the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country so he knows his political career is over.
Last I heard he was still pinning his hopes on a position in the Trump administration, once the current gang quits/gets fired/goes to jail.
Someone with more creativity than I needs to figure out how to meme blend this and History of the World pt. 1 'It's good to be King'.
Yeah, I'm seeing this argument around social media. Who exactly is supposed to run the public beaches and parks, if not the government? And if they're not public, how do we stop the rich from monopolizing their use?
Before we start venturing into Federal Retard territory I feel it necessary to remind people that all beaches are public. It's been established though hundreds of years of common law that up to high tide mark everything is public. What we are discussing is not beaches but beach access. Two very different things. Carry on.
I finally saw a newscast tonight that pointed out this bit of beach is directly in front of Christie's own beach house. Make of that what you will.
Beaches shut down because the government can't get its shit together? That's never happened where I live in my lifetime. That's really a special sort of useless. Bush league.
I might be missing something, but how does closing beaches not in fact just cost extra money due to police having to guard them?
