Posted these in the Red Room, but a lot of people probably missed them. Did this for 2 'shifts' right after graduating high school. Shift being 3 months at a time. It was really fun, although one of the hardest jobs physically that I have ever done. We often spent a week in the middle of nowhere living out of a can and sleeping in sleeping bags. Needless to say, we didn't smell really good after coming home. A combination of not showering, flame retardant, smoke, dirt and muck doesn't go together too well. But, the lakes up there are perfect for swimming, so we had a chance to clean ourselves there. Pictures below. And yours truly.
'Up there' being within a stone's throw of say... Lake Athabasca or even Great Bear Lake? Where do I sign up? Incidentally, each time I see Great Bear Lake on Google Maps, it slightly unnerves me for some reason.
