Not me. I'd take 10 actormikes over 1 Sokar, even though I happen to line up with Sokar's opinions much more often than with actormike's. Sokar has made it clear he is primarily here to troll, not to contribute to discussion. Aren't you really saying, with this kind of statement, that you disagree with his opinions? I do myself. I think a lot of actormike's opinions are silly, irrational and superficial. But I have never gotten the impression in any way that he himself is not a nice guy. He's no angel, but he's not a troll, either. Sokar, OTOH, does not come across at all as a "nice" person. And I would much rather a discussion board with more people with whom I disagree than a greater number of trolls.
Limbaugh won't be hurt in the long run over these advertisers. Plenty of others will fill the gap. It will be interesting to see if those advertisers however suffer business wise.
It's a pretty neat little deflection technique, really. No conservative leader -- elected or unelected, no matter how influential -- can ever be criticized for anything they say, because you can always find some obscure liberal D-list celebrity who said something similar and act as if they're exactly the same.
Well, first, the difference is that it's ridiculous to act as if the actions of highly influential members of one faction are immune to criticism because you can always find a comparison to some random obscure person from the other faction. It's like trying to excuse anything questionable the Obama administration does by pointing to a corrupt Republican township trustee in Bumblefuck Township, Oklahoma. But second, you obviously didn't read the entirety of 14thDoctor's post, which talks about how most of the people you lot are shrieking about didn't "get away with it."
Mahar(sp) and Schultz are hardly obscure. Each has a steady parade of influential proggie luminaries on their respective programs and both are widely quoted throughout the proggie bloggosphere. So you don't get to employ the Sheehan Effect to weasel your way out of this.
No democrat has ever come crawling to Maher for forgiveness for not following his version of the party line.

Personally I just see these attempts at defending Rush by pointing at bad behavior by others to be just as cheap as any other type of dodge someone could come up with.
Schultz's comments were made on his radio show and he was suspended from his TV show. LINK So far, Rush has been held accountable by his bosses...how,exactly? what should we think about Maher's donation to Obama? Unilateral disarmament was a bad idea in the Cold War, and it's a bad idea in politics.
