It appears I am the absolute best player in this game, having nearly acquired 1 billion colonists thus far.
It depends how your planets are spread out. If you have a large hull and sectors with just 1-2 planets in each, it is easy to funnel colonists off them onto new planets you build. If all five planets are in the same sector then you could have problems later on.
Actually, more. But in any case, the max population limit is 1 billion per planet. It'll be a long time before I run out of space. Because each planet can hold so many more colonists, I spend more time developing them. Right now my planets are heavily protected thanks to that.
Is there a way to get fighters and mines off a planet and into space otehr then using your ship? Also if there are fighters and torpedeos on the planet do they contribute to the defense of the sector or just the planet they are on?
Is their a way to automate transferring fighters and torps off a planet? I mean sure make it costs turns but damn if it isn't annoying having to do it manually. How the hell did you guys do it in previous games without going nuts?
I concur. Make your ship able to transport more Question: How far do I have to upgrade my engines before I can real space anywhere in one move. In most BNT games I usually don't need to go past 14 or 15. Here, I'm already at 18 or 19 and am still hitting 2-4 move jumps.
I have not travelled everywhere in the galaxy, but at 20 I think I still have some places that take me 2 turns to realspace.
It sucks big time. Yeah. That is annoying. Especially if you have a choice between upgrading engines or upgrading the ability to carry fighters and torps so you can defend your damn planets.
